Frequently asked questions by customers.
If you do not find what interests you among the questions and answers, go to the CONTACT subpage.
1. Can the text evaluation be performed without spaces? Why should I pay for empty seats?
Unfortunately, we don't anticipate such an option. This is a generally accepted method of valuation and it is not possible for any office to omit spaces in the valuation.
2. On what basis is the deadline for receiving the order determined?
It depends on the selected type of translation. Standard translations are performed in frequencies 5 pages (1800 ZZs x 5) / day; specialist - 5 pages / day; express - 10 pages / day. The translation may be slightly accelerated if the deadline by which the client must receive the order is 1-2 days earlier than the date given by the Agency. The surcharge is a matter to be agreed.
3. What is the difference between specialist translation and standard translation? How do I know which group mine belongs to?
Specialist translation deals with issues and areas that require specialist knowledge. Before starting the project, the translator must make an effort to deepen his knowledge or be experienced in a given field. Standard translation concerns commonly known topics and does not contain specialized vocabulary (in the sense of the unused and unknown to the average person). The group to which the client's translation belongs will be specified in the quote file.
4. Will the finished translation have the same formatting as the source document?
Yes, the formatting of the translation document remains the same. Unless the client wishes otherwise.
5. In the case of interpretation, will the travel to the place of interpretation be included in the price?
Yes, after determining the place of translation, the total price will be given, but the invoice will include the cost of the trip separately.
6. How is the cost of the trip calculated?
The cost of travel is calculated on the basis of the amount of fuel consumed and vehicle operation or the price of a train / bus ticket.
7. What about accommodation?
If the interpreting takes more than 1 day and the place of performance of the service is more than 50 km from the location of the Office, or if the interpretation takes one day and the place of performance is more than 100 km from the location of the Office, the client is obliged to provide the interpreter with accommodation or ask for the price plus accommodation costs.
8. Do I have to provide any materials before the planned translation date?
It is obligatory to provide the translator with information about the subject (e.g. of a lecture) or circumstances (e.g. a business presentation on products such as paper packaging, to company X from industry Y). The most important participants, their names and positions / roles presented during the translation should also be provided. Please remember that the more information / material a translator receives, the better the quality of the service itself will be. The information / materials held must be delivered no later than 24 hours before the date of the service.
9. What if I am forced to resign from the service?
Such a circumstance should be reported 3 days before the scheduled date. If the cancellation is made 2 days before - 30% of the price of the service must be paid (no additional charges); 1 day before - 50%; on the day of the scheduled translation - 80%.
10. What about translation?
Here, the matter is a bit more obvious - the billing will be based on the part of the translation that has been produced so far. There is a period of 1 day from the conclusion of the contract, during which it is possible to resign without incurring costs.
